One part rocket scientist, one part music-maker, PALISVDES got his start playing guitar for a rock band and parlayed that music-theory background into production. The obsession with electronic music began circa 2010 with Kaskade & Deadmau5's "I Remember" and quickly honed in on the house spectrum. "It was the way it made me feel, this emotion that I'd never felt before and still haven't felt from any other source" he recalls, waxing nostalgic about his first foray into the sound and all its adjective-laden sub genres. A move to Santa Monica from the East Coast and an exposure to artists like Skrillex, Wolfgang Gartner and Dr. Fresch led him to discover his niche - a sound that, at the time, he couldn't quite box in but later became known as bass house. By day, he works on the most consequential satellites of the modern era and facilitates rocket launches: come nighttime the right hemisphere lights up and steers him into the studio where he stretches the creative muscle. It's a muscle with the extraordinary agility one would expect from a veteran producer, but anybody who knows this young rocket scientist (he really is a rocket scientist) will tell you, there's nothing ordinary about PALISVDES.
